They would spend more time testing and developing drivers but end up selling less of their GPU's because people can mix and match. The real reason we are in this situation is there is not real financial reason why Intel, AMD or Nvidia would want to spend time debugging and supporting multi vendor GPU setups like this. ![]() ![]() Intel/Nvidia or Intel/AMD will play well together and are now well supported in laptops with graphics switching technology but this is because they have extra code and hardware implementations to handle the two vendors chips to share the same set of VGA/HDMI/DVI/DP outputs. Yeah running multiple graphics card vendors has never been ideal and may not be supported.
